Electives
Our electives are shorter classes built to round out your other workshops. Take a single evening on its own, or buy the whole set as a package for a discounted rate. Each one puts you straight into the studio for a working night of printmaking, and you'll leave with prints you pulled yourself. Beginners are welcome, and all your supplies are provided. One night is for open studio time, to give you more time to work in the space if you want to continue to pursue any projects.
Important note: You must be enrolled in one of our other two workshops to purchase electives.
Monotype Printmaking
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will learn several monotype printmaking methods in a round robin style class setting.
Tetra Pak Intaglio
Transform everyday trash into beautiful fine-art prints in this class centered on upcycled intaglio printmaking.
Open Studio Time
Spend time in the open studio, working on any project you'd like!

Chris Lauer
Artistic Director/Multimodal Artist
Chris Lauer is a multi-modal creator and Founder of Waldo’s and Company. Using mediums from printmaking and film, to ceramics and paper making, Lauer creates using a wide variety of materials. Educated at the University of Minnesota, Lauer has continued creating and learning ever since. Influenced by the production of Andy Warhol and the oddities of Claes Oldenburg, Lauer imagines art as a means of visual play. Pushing boundaries and changing functionality while honing his skills as a craftsperson.
